Newborn Chloe came earthside to meet her mom, dad, and doting sister Claire. I got to spend a morning with them in their home, where Claire talked my ear off but I could hardly focus to hear because I was so distracted by her curls. The post-partum time where baby comes home is incredibly hard. And I know because I’ve had two of my own babies. And sometimes gearing up for a photo session during this time is the last thing that anyone wants to do. Because you’re in pain from labouring your baby, you’re sleep deprived from being up all night, and you’re feeling like your post-partum body is less than ideal. But believe me, having these early moments documented is incredibly important and something you will look back on for years.

I will always be thankful for everyone that allows me into their home during these sensitive, exhausting, yet beautiful moments.
